Dear Hameed Shahid saheb,
I do not know whether you have me in your memory. It was a couple of years
back when we came to know each other. Mahmood Wajid saheb was also with us.
I was visiting the websites and came across Itaara and read about the
activities of your club. I only wanted to know if it could be possible for
me, a fiction writer who has not gained any recognition, to join your club.
I have a nice memory about our meeting in Karachi. You were very friendly to
me. The collection of my short stories was published in 2003. Mr. Mubin
Mirza was the publisher and the title was "Tanhai ka ek din". I am not sure
                  whether you have seen it.
Hope that you will respond to my email and let me know about the requirement
for becoming the member of your club.

                  Best regards

Dear Hameed Shahid saheb,
Thanks once again. I am really happy to have at least email-contact with you. As I have visited your website I found a dedicated writer in you who is not only a fiction writer but also a critic. I am of the opinion we need critics like you who are giving a new dimension to the literature. Todays scenario is entirely changed. The critique is changed and the perspective of viewing the literature as well. Its my good luck that I contacted you and wish that you become the most important part of Urdu literature, not only as a fiction writer but also as a critic INSHAALLAH.

Best regards

yours

Hameed Shaihd Bhai Jaan: Thanks for the email. You are all wonderful friends. As you know, I have a special place in my heart for Pindi. I wrote a few short stories has well with Pindi as their locale. One of these, a
long-short story, with background of Mohan Pura, the mohalla I lived in with my parents, I have recently sent to Gulzar Javed for his magazine. It was written back in 1955, half a century ago, so there's no experimentation, but even as a straight narrative, it touches the heart - so said my senior friend Rajinder Singh Bedi once upon a time. I hope Farshi Sahib is
well.
Thanks again.

Yours: Satyapal Anand

Dear Muhammad Hameed Shahid, Many thanks for theextract from your novel. It is very good indeed. I'll print it soonest.
I understand your sense of shock and sadness. But there is nothing that my friends can do to help me. It is not money. It is not tiredness. It is not boredom. It is simply a matter of health, and of time. I have very little of these things now. And I want to finish my novel and two other projects before I quit this wor;d.
Thanks a great deal for your offer to help. I wish it was possible for you to be here to help me.
With best regards, Yours, SRF., April 8, 2005
